There has been a push recently from the USRSA to get stringers to educate customers to move away from full string beds of Polyester strings. Why you ask? A full bed of polyester strings can increase the amount of impact and shock to elbow joints. I have tried this theory out myself recently, i have changed to only the main strings being in a soft Poly with the crosses being a soft multifilament string or a Synthetic gut string, it’s certainly a lot more comfortable and I for one am an advocate of the advice. So many times i see players with tennis elbow playing with a full bed of poly and then having it restrung in Poly, a responsible stringer would not recommend this string to someone with tennis elbow or arm discomfort.
